About the Lecture
University of East Anglia are hosting a Classical Civilisation & Literature lecture titled 'Epic - What's in a name? How Virgil's Aeneid responds to Homer's Iliad'. The lecture will be led by Dr Will Rossiter who will attempt to answer these questions through the examination of what changes and remains the same when Virgil borrows from Homer, and tracing continuities and differences in style, ethos, and structure.
Who is this lecture for?
This lecture is suitable for students in IB1 & IB2 who are interested in studying Classical Civilisation, Literature, or other related disciplines at university, however anyone is welcome to attend.
Please do not register to attend if you have any lessons, exams, or other pre-planned activities that may overlap with this lecture.
