Title: The Kidneys - Why they're so great
Description: This taster session will explore the human kidneys, how to look after them and the challenged humans face during kidney failure. By the end of the session, you will be able to describe the anatomy of the urinary system and kidneys, identify causes of kidney damage, describe chronic kidney disease and end stage kidney disease, as well as the dietary and fluid restrictions neccessary to manage kidney disease.
Suitability: Students in IB1 & IB2 who are interested in studying nursing at university.
