About the Lecture Series

Gresham College are hosting a business lecture series from October 2023 - June 2024.


The lecture series will discuss different paradigms around why finance is really not that difficult, and demonstrate all these paradigns fit together. All lectures will be hosted by Professor Raghavendra Rau from Cambridge Judge Business School.


Capital Structure Theory Explained

Monday 22nd January 2024, 18:00 BST

Professor Raghavendra Rau will introduce you to the concept of Capital Structure Theory and discuss how the composition of mixture relies on how much tax firms pay.


Option Pricing Theory

Monday 26th February 2024, 18:00 BST

Professor Raghavendra Rau will introduce you to the concept of Option Pricing Theory and discuss option pricing in relation to determining the value of changing your mind in finance and business decisions.


Asymmetric Information in Finance Explained

Monday 20th May 2024, 18:00 BST

Professor Raghavendra Rau will introduce you to the concept of asymmetric information and discuss how more information we receive can actually lead to being worse off.


Are Financial Markets Efficient?

Monday 10th June 2024, 18:00 BST

Professor Raghavendra Rau will explore investors systematic behavioural biases and how these biases can predict returns.
