About the Taster Course
University College London are hosting an online linguistics taster course titled 'What isn't in a name? The linguistics of Pokémon'. The course will be led by Lecturer, Dr Andrew Lamont, and he will present a talk that will explore the universal and language-specific sound patterns of Pokémon names that represent things such as size, weight and evolution levels.
Who is this taster course for?
Anyone with an interest in studying Linguistics, English Language or Literature at university.
