About the Work Experience & Career Day
During the morning, you will take part in an application session where you will learn about the competitiveness of veterinary courses in the UK. You will learn about entry requirements and how to write your personal statement. You will then be introduced to some of the questions which you may be asked during your interview and start to draft some example answers.
During the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to talk with a vet to discuss how different animals are diagnosed and treated through the use of case studies. You will learn how to classify animals and the different approaches to treatment depending on size and complexity of their biology.
The day will end with a Q&A session where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about entering the field of veterinary.
Who should attend this work experience and career day?
Any students who are aged 13-18 years old and are considering veterinary as a career path.
