London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE)

The London School of Economics and Political Science is the world's leading social science institution.

About the institution

LSE is a specialist social science institution, located in the heart of London. Our students are taught by world-leading academics, many of whom also act as expert advisers, consultants and commentators to political organisations, businesses and policy groups. As a result our students benefit from the expertise of academics directly engaged in the real-world impact of the subjects they are teaching and researching. A range of additional academic resources are available to students alongside their degree programme, including research internships, public events, Language Centre courses and our centre for personal, professional and academic development – LSE LIFE.

The student experience at LSE is about more than academic study and we offer a varied programme of events to keep students busy! With over 200 student-run societies, 40 sports clubs, media channels, Arts and Media events, Raising and Giving activities, there’s something for everyone!

Our central London location means that the student experience at LSE isn’t limited to the campus - with Parliament, the business and financial institutions of the City, the Law Courts, media outlets and numerous museums, galleries, music venues, shops and restaurants on the School's doorstep, our students are ideally placed to make the most of the academic, professional and social benefits of studying in the city.
