The University of Bristol consistently ranks in the world's top 100 and UK's top ten universities in league tables that draw on information about both research and teaching excellence. Bristol is in the top five UK universities for research and part of the Russell Group.

The University offers over 300 undergraduate degree programmes across Arts, Business, Science and Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences and Law. Our graduate employment record is one of the best in the UK; we are ranked joint 7th in the UK and joint 49th in the world for graduate employability (QS Graduate Employability Rankings, 2022).

Bristol graduates are also the 5th most targeted by The Times Top 100 UK graduate employers (High Fliers Research, 2024). The University’s Internship Scheme works with companies to give students high-quality paid internships across sectors such as publishing, consultancy, and research. Many courses offer specialist guidance, from the Law School’s professional mentoring scheme to the Faculty of Engineering’s Industrial Liaison Office. Students can also broaden their horizons by studying or working abroad for a year, a semester, or a summer. California, Sydney, Hong Kong, Barcelona are just some of the destinations available.

The University is located at the heart of Bristol in south-west England, only 90 minutes from London by train. The city is home to people from over 187 countries, speaking 91 languages.
