University of Richmond

Ambitious, curious, determined, and active – Richmond is a very residential campus, and our students like to keep busy with 200+ clubs and organizations to enjoy!

About the institution

The University of Richmond provides a collaborative learning and research environment unlike any other, offering students an extraordinary combination of the liberal arts and sciences with a top-ranked business school and the first undergraduate school of leadership studies in the United States. Our 3,000 undergraduates – including students from 71 countries – constitute an inspiring global community. Richmond has been ranked #23 among the nation’s “Best Liberal Arts Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report and #4 on The Princeton Review’s list of the Top 25 Best Schools for Internships.

The University is located on a safe, suburban campus just six miles (ten kilometers) from the City of Richmond. When students are not in class, they head downtown to take advantage of the world-class museums, shopping, local restaurants, and festivals – and as Virginia’s state capital, Richmond gives students an up-close look at U.S. politics. The nearby cities of Washington, D.C. and New York City also make great weekend getaways and are easily accessible by car, train, or plane.
