About the institution
With the Rochester Curriculum, undergraduate students in Arts, Sciences & Engineering build their own program of study. There are no general education requirements and no traditional “core” curriculum. Hate math? Skip it. Not into language? Take something you are more into. Can't choose between two majors? Don't - over 30% of students are double majors. All of this learning is happening in a smaller learning environment with a major research university with an average class size of 22 students and a 9:1 student to faculty ratio. Lots of learning happens outside of the classroom as well given that 77% of students complete research before they graduate and over 95% participate in at least one internship. You'll also be surrounded by students from around the world with international students representing over 26% of students and over 100 different countries.
