UAL is made up of six world renowned Colleges including a new Creative Computing Institute. Across our Colleges we teach foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the subject areas: Arts, Design, Fashion, Media and Communication, and Performing Arts.

Cost of Tuition

Foundation Diploma is free for home students under 19.
19 or over fee is £5,280+£140 awarding body registration fee.

Foundation Diploma fee for International students is £18,300.
Home tuition fees for full time undergraduate study is £9,250 per year.
International tuition fees for full time undergraduate study is £22,920 per year.

IB Grade Requirements

For Foundation Diploma entry, Level 3/EU/International qualifications, such as International Baccalaureate Certificates - 2 at ‘Higher Level’ and 1 at ‘Standard Level’ - all grade 4 or above. Applications for practical art subjects also require a portfolio.

Most students applying to UAL will undertake a foundation diploma before applying to an undergraduate degree.

pre-degree Courses

UAL pre-degree courses offer a great opportunity to learn more about art and design and are a good introduction to life and study at UAL. Some of our degrees require you to have completed a Pre-Degree Foundation Diploma as well as your IB.
