Education Model

UNSW’s strategic priorities actively address the challenges we face today - from climate change and renewable energies to lifesaving medical treatments and breakthrough technologies. We aim to make an impact on people’s lives around the world. In 2020, UNSW evolved its motto to “Scientia corde mente et manu” - Knowledge by Heart, Mind and Hand. This is more than just a slogan of renewed values and aspirations. It captures the fact that we serve higher purpose, and are committed to serving society through knowledge sharing and new discovery.

Are there internship opportunities?

Some courses only - An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. Depending on the degree you’re completing, you may have the opportunity to complete additional programs that further develop your skills and experience. Generally, this will involve completing a project or period of work in a workplace related to your area of study. They are typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field.

Are there study abroad options?

Yes - Imagine studying at one of our over 300 partner universities for a term or even a full academic year and earning credits that count towards your UNSW degree! With a wide array of courses, many taught in English, you can stay on track with your studies while exploring new academic horizons.
