About the Lecture
Lecturer Dr Birgit Breidenbach from the University of East Anglia is hosting a talk titled 'Sophocles' Theban Plays in the 21st Century: Tragedy, Politics and Adaptation'. Throughout the talk you will explore the plays by looking at Sophocles' approach to tragedy and a more contemporary perspective to consider modern adaptations as well the different political and cultural contexts.
