Senior Lecturer, Marietjie Joubert, from Solent University is delivering a talk titled 'The impact of mental health on family life'. You will explore why and when people may need professional support and what intervention may look like.
Lecturer, Dr Emma Long, from the University of East Anglia will then present her talk titled 'Military Families, Work and Childcare'. This will introduce you to the various challenges that military families face in regards to childcare, as well as develop your understanding of the female military spouse's emotional and practical labour.
Who is this session suitable for?
Any students in IB1 & IB2 who are interested in studying Sociology, Psychology, or other related disciplines at university.
Please do not register to attend if you have any lessons or other pre-planned activities that may overlap with this lecture.
