'Is anyone (really) evil?' | Virtual Taster session | 9 March 3.45pm GMT

Philosophy taster session

This taster session is suitable for students with an interest in studying Philosophy at university.

When: Wednesday 9 March 2022, 3:45pm - 5:15pm GMT

Age group: Year 12/IB1 and Year 13/IB2

'Is anyone (really) evil?'

'Is anyone (really) evil?' This talk will consider whether anyone is genuinely evil, arguing that in fact this is impossible. For, to be genuinely evil is to do what is bad because it is bad; but all agents only do what they think is good, and so never knowingly and willingly do the bad - so no one is evil.
