About the Session
Dr Will Rossiter from the University of East Anglia is hosting a Literature and Drama session titled The Tragedy of The Dutchesse of Malfy - Tragic Traditions & Italian Tales. Throughout the session you will examine how Webster developed his play according to different models of tragedy - classical and medieval. You will discuss how Webster took these models, traditions, and conventions of tragedy for the play in William Painter's translations of Matteo Bandello's original tale.
Suitability: Students in IB1 & IB2 who are interested in studying Literature, Drama, or other related disciplines at university.
