£59.00

Online 11am - 4.00pm GMT

Our Medicine work experience and Careers day thrusts you into the world of medicine. You’ll spend the morning learning all about med school applications, do you really want to go into a career as a doctor? We’ll tell you all about the pathway to medical school from your subject choices at school to the entrance examinations ( UKCAT & BMAT ) you may need to take, explain how to write the perfect personal statement for medicine and go through in detail the final hurdle, the dreaded Med school interview. You’ll learn all the techniques needed for a successful application from our panel of medical school admissions staff and current medical students.

After a break for lunch, the afternoon session will concentrate on medical work experience. Medicine work experience is required for all med school applications, of course you’ll need more than just an afternoon with us for a successful application but we’ll give you a great basis to build on.

You’ll learn about the realities of a career in medicine, how to apply to medical school, how to secure that place in medical school & gain some practical experience you can use in your applications.

We won’t sugar coat anything for you, medicine is a tough career and perhaps the toughest of all to secure a place at university to study. It’s our hope that by the end of the day you’ll have decided one way or the other if you wish to pursue a career in healthcare.

We have bursaries available for UK and International students to enable them to attend our courses without charge or at a reduced cost. There are 150 free places available each year & a further 100 at a reduced cost for those students requiring financial help.
