About the Lecture
Part of the Oxford International Women's Festival, the Association for Women in Science & Engineering, alongside Somerville College is hosting a lecture in memory to Dorothy Hodgkin to make 60 years since she received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry which acknowledged her work on the structures of Vitamin B12, penicillin and insulin using x-ray crystallography. She remains the only British woman to have been awarded a Nobel Prize in science.
