About the Taster Lecture

Join this taster lecture to explore what chemical engineers do and how they are contributing to global issues such as energy and sustainability. There will also be an opportunity to design a bioethanol production plant and explore it's trade-offs.

  • 4.05pm: Welcome and introduction to the department

  • 4.20pm: Interactive subject taster: Design a bioethanol production plant

  • 5pm: Q&A session with current undergraduate students

  • 5.25pm: Closing remarks and next steps


Who is this taster lecture suitable for?

Students in IB1 and IB2 who are interested in studying Chemical and Biological Engineering at university.
