About the Work Experience & Career Day
During the morning, you will take part in a med school application session where you will learn about various areas of medicine and branches you can specialise in. You will then discuss how to write your medicine personal statement to secure an interview. You will learnt about the UCAT and BMAT exams which you will be required to take, before moving on to learnt about the interview process.
During the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to learn about patient note taking and how to assess patients through real life case studies. You will follow the patient from diagnosis through to treatment.
The session will end with a Q&A session to give you the opportunity to ask any sessions you have about stepping into the field of medicine.
Who should attend this work experience and career day?
Any students who are aged 13-18 years old and are considering medicine as a career path.
