About the Webinar

Join the University of East Anglia for a taster lecture titled 'The UEA Natural Hazards Series - Earthquakes - Why? How? Where? When?'. The lecture will be led by Associate Professor of Solid Earth Geophysics, Dr Jess Johnson, who will discuss why and where earthquakes occur, the production of fault ruptures and seismic waves, methods for forecasting, as well as make use of real life case studies to explore why some are more deadly than others.


Who should attend this webinar?

This webinar is suitable for students in IB1 or IB2 who have an interest in studying Geography, Environmental Sciences or other related disciplines at university, however anyone is welcome to attend.

Please do not register to attend if you have any lessons, exams, or other pre-planned activities that may overlap with this lecture.
