About the Talk
Dr Lisa Morrison from the University of Surrey will present Quantum Physics and the Colour of Light. You will explore the origins of visible light and how this gives rise to the colours we observe, showing how quantum mechanics reshaped our understanding of light, and how it impacts science, technology and engineering.
Mark Fromhold from the University of Nottingham well then present Quantum Physics and New Technologies. You will explore the new wave of technologies, including brain scanner which work by harnessing quantum waves of atoms or electrons inside atoms.
Who is this talk suitable for?
Students in IB1 & IB2 who are interested in studying Physics or other related disciplines at university.
