About the Summer Conference
Join Swansea University on-campus for their Medicine, Healthcare and Psychology Summer Conference. It has been designed to give you a taster of studying at university through a variety of talks and tour. Below you will see the proposed schedule.
Tuesday 4th July 2023 - Psychology Taster Day
Aimed to give you a taster of what it is like to study Psychology at Swansea University. You will attend taster lectures on 'Phobias or Schizophrenia' and 'The Psychology of Traffic Safety'. You will also attend a personality workshops which will be led by current undergraduate students.
Wednesday 5th July 2023 - Medicine Taster Day
Aimed to give you a taster of what it is like to study Medicine at Swansea University. You will attend taster lectures in Biomedical Science and Pharmacy. You will also attend a practical session in the anatomy suite.
Thursday 6th July 2023 - Healthcare Taster Day
Aimed to give you a taster of what it is like to student Healthcare courses at Swansea University. You will attend taster lectures in either Paramedic Science, Nursing, Operating Department Practice, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Healthcare Science. You will also take part in a practical session.
Networking and Information Fair - all days
On each of these taster days, there will also be a networking and information fair that will be running to give you the opportunity to make connections and find out more about the opportunities that are available to you.
